Imbrain Travel Grants for Young Investigators (National & International)

We are pleased to announce the IMBRAIN Travel Grants to support the participation of young investigators at the IMBRAIN & ISBAP–PACAP/VIP Meeting (Málaga, 16–18 April 2026). These grants are open to both national (Spain) and international applicants and follow the same eligibility criteria and application requirements as the Arimura Travel Awards. Eligibility: Applicants must be PhD students. Candidates must submit an abstract to the meeting and be willing to present their work as an oral communication and/or poster (final format to be decided by the Scientific Committee). Required documentation:
  • Abstract (max. 250 words).
  • Short CV + list of publications.
  • Letter of recommendation from a mentor, PI, or department head.
How to apply: Send your application by email to: Manuel Narváez (mnarvaez@uma.es ) Deadline: 15 March 2026 Selection: Applications will be evaluated by a Selection Committee based on scientific quality, novelty, and relevance to the meeting themes. Priority may be given to applicants who demonstrate a need for travel support. We strongly encourage young scientists working on bioactive peptides, peptide receptors, and peptide-based therapeutics/biomarkers to apply.

Akira Arimura Foundation. 2027-2028 Young Investigator Grant

The Akira Arimura Foundation is seeking proposals for its 2027-28 Young Investigator Grant. The Foundation provides awards to young investigators in the field of VIP/PACAP. Application Procedures enclosed.

Awards

We are pleased to announce that the Viktor Mutt Lectureship 2026 has been awarded to Professor Annette G. Beck-Sickinger.

Professor Beck-Sickinger will deliver the Viktor Mutt Lecture during the ISBAP–PACAP/VIP Meeting, to be held in Málaga (Spain) from 16 to 18 April 2026. The award includes €2,000 in expenses, generously sponsored by the journal Peptides (Elsevier), to cover congress-related costs such as registration, travel and accommodation.

Our warmest congratulations to Professor Beck-Sickinger; it will be a pleasure to welcome her to Málaga.
